Rebekah Green
I’ve been passionate about beauty, fashion and design for as long as I can remember. Glued to my television set as a child, watching any designer runway show or entertainment reporting show that I could find, I would study every nuance of that glamour-filled world and memorize the life stories of the supermodels and celebrities alike. I couldn’t get enough of it back then … and even today, I still can’t. I love everything about the worlds of art, architecture, fashion and entertainment, and I’ve immersed myself in as much of it as I can over the course of my career.
The thing that makes my journey into high design and pop culture somewhat unique, though, is that the amount of passion that I have for these industries rivals only the devotion that I have for sustainability and eco-consciousness. And to me, there’s no reason that these society-divided ideas should be separate in any way. In fact, the joy that I receive from witnessing the perfection and grandeur of a Valentino Haute Couture runway show matches evenly with the joy that I feel from witnessing a well being drilled for an impoverished African village. Health, global activism, and environmental responsibility are as spectacular to me as the great works of artists like Monet, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Yves Saint Laurent.
As a business woman, I have created companies which speak to both aspects of my passion throughout my career. In my early twenties, I single-handedly owned and operated an architecture firm which designed and built some of the most beautiful and luxurious green, eco-friendly homes anywhere in my state. Next, I simultaneously created a media company which helped to create and develop television content with themes that were as mainstream and catch-y as they were environmental and social. Today, I have finally returned to my roots in fashion and have launched a sustainable jewelry line which is elegant, refined and sophisticated while it is recycled, responsible and humane.
Please visit my website where you can peruse my collection of 14K recycled gold fine jewelry for both adults and children. Using only fair trade gemstones, low impact and high quality cubic zirconia and 100% recycled 14K gold has enabled me to offer a line which achieves high style at no environmental or human cost. On my primary website located at [ http://www.rebekahgreen.com/ ], you can also follow my adventures as I mingle with celebrities and walk the red carpet for green-themed and charity-based Hollywood events.
In this most recent marriage of bringing design and environmentalism together, I am proving that as the fashion-adoring and socially-conscious women that we are, we can indeed have our cake and eat it too … or should I say have our sparkly, golden earrings and wear them too!
